Governments Boiler Scrappage Scheme. What is it? The Governments Boiler Scrappage Scheme started on January 2010.
Like the “cash for bangers” scheme, that boosted the car market, it is designed to encourage some of the 4 million home owners who currently own inefficient boilers to change them for new efficient A rated boilers.
This scheme will reduce CO2 output from Britsh homes by millions of tonnes (only available in England).
Who qualifies for the scheme? Any home owner who owns a band G rated boiler (usually over ten to fifteen years old) that is working can claim £400 back off the price on installation of a new boiler. Search to see if your boiler qualifies for £400. Or get in touch with us and we can find out for you.
How does it work:
Simply sign up to the scheme on the Energy Saving Trust website - www.energysavingtrust.org.uk - Click Here
Then get a survey and quote from a Gas Safe Registered engineer for the work to be done.
Register the quote with The Energy Saving Trust and get your engineer to carry out the work.
Once the work is complete, pay the gas engineer and send a copy of the paid bill to The Energy Saving Trust to claim your £400.
